Tonight I noticed my phone was turned off, problem is it won’t turn back on. A few hours previous it was at 60% charge so it shouldn’t have run flat, but i’ve tried 3 different usb cables, 2 wall chargers and 2 computers; no luck. It won’t respond at all and after googling for a while there are other 1020 users that ran into this same issue but I haven’t been able to find a fix.
Here’s what i’ve tried:
Held power button down for 10+ seconds
Held power button + volume buttons down for 10+ seconds
(tried both of those plugged in and unplugged)
Tried using NRST, it won’t detect the phone.
Left my phone “charging” for hours, still nothing.
I’m at a loss for what to do really, my phone had essentially been sitting on my desk the entire weekend so i’m 100% confident I didn’t damage it. The Microsoft store/carepoint locator seems fairly useless, I can’t find any carepoints in Australia (It seems they outsource all their repairs to Fonebiz). Where do I go from here? I’ve emailed Nokia/Msoft Australia and i’m waiting on a reply, but in the meantime I really can’t think of anything to try fix it. Cheers
